Lauren + JP - The Wedding Video! Part 1
Monday, July 26, 2010 at 4:11PM
I'm so pleased to post my first wedding music video! Lauren and JP could not have been a better fit as far as artistic collaborators go. Their creative sensibilities are wide ranging, and they immediately grasped the concept of what I wanted to, which was to create a music video more-so than a wedding video. Granted, the subject matter is their wedding. It's simply cut to one of their favorite songs ever. (Sleepyhead by Passion Pit -- buy the single or their album here.).
I'd love to know what you think!

So Cool!
Love love love! Totally wish I had some event to video so I could have my own!!
holy cow i've watched this video 12 times already. you did an awe-some job on this. like for real for real.
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! I was really nervous that there wouldn't be other folks out there who'd appreciate the approach I took with this video.
I.LOVE.IT. The phrase "wedding video" usually makes me cringe. It ranks right up there with a birth & delivery video. But this is a work of art. It's beautiful!
This is so inspiring! Who would not want to star in their own video with all their special people and cool moments? Wow!! I want one of these- too cool. Great job!
Absolutely amazing... well done mate!
Loved it. Did you do any storyboarding or pre planning for some of the shots or was it all off the cuff?
I've watched the video five times, posted it on facebook and IMed it to about 4 friends... amazing!!
Alison - I couldn't agree more with the term 'wedding video'
Tim - It was all off the cuff. I knew there would be paper cranes ahead of time, so I did think to bring some wire hangers and duct tape for the 'crane shot'.
Thanks for love people. It was much needed today!
This is charming, quirky and sexy! You have created something really special here, it feels real, creative and it is inspiring and wholly unpretentious. Fantastic.
matt, what a gorgeous video. i love, love, love all the attention to detail....the interlaced fingers, the perspiring dancers, the joyful tears the joyful music. loved it. on another note...i would so love to get one of those pics of jessica/ladybugs. think i can? chris
Amazing would be an understatement. You captured this couple perfectly - I feel like I know them, even though I don't know them. What an outstanding effort and end product! (And Passion Pit wins every time.)
Wow. Just.... wow. Almost makes me want to get married again ;)
Fantastic!! I have watched it several times, love the song choice too!! Well done and congrats on the MEGA reposting!!
O my goodness. Has your phone stopped ringing since you posted this video? It is simply delightful. I sent it to friends last night, got up this AM and watched it again, and now I think I will post it on mah Facebook, because it's just too cool to keep to mahself.
